Dr. Kitty Oliver is a veteran journalist, race relations oral historian and author, and TV and radio producer with a Ph.D. focusing on race and ethnic communication.  Her historical perspectives have been chronicled on CNN and in the Ron Howard Beatles film “Eight Days a Week: The Touring Years.”  She founded the Race and Change Oral Histories Archive, one of the largest cross-cultural international collections of life stories on race and ethnic relations in the country, housed in Special Collections at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center and available online to researchers.  Her books and public television documentaries are used widely in public schools and colleges, and she does creative presentations in community forums.
